As Local As They Come

There are several local restaurant chains in Japan, but it is hard to think of one that is more local than the Bando Taro chain. You will only find it in the prefectures bordering the Tone river (another name for Tonegawa is Bando Taro), which rins out into the sea a few miles north of Narita Airport.

The Bando Taro restaurants use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Their sister chain Katsu Taro prides itself on the quality of its pork, beef, and eggs; all procured from local farmers.

If you find yourself in the Tone river baisin, try to find one of their restaurants.
